The Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) represent a set of K-12 science education standards introduced in the United States in 2013. Organized around three key dimensions—Science and Engineering Practices, Crosscutting Concepts, and Disciplinary Core Ideas—the NGSS emphasize active learning, critical thinking, and practical application.
